More Memories Of Uniform - Dragons Edition

I'm continuing my series on the history of NPB uniforms by next focusing on the Chunichi Dragons.  I'm going to change this up a little bit from how I did the Marines by simply listing the uniforms worn by the team by year and style (home, away, alternate) and show a card for all uniforms that I can.  And I'll show the appropriate Memories Of Uniform cards as well as other cards from my collection.

One note - neither The History Of Uniform not the Professional Baseball Uniforms Encyclopedia 1936-2013 designate uniforms for the Dragons as home or away until 1952, so I lump anything earlier together by time span.

Notes:

By my count, the Dragons have had 64 uniforms since they started in 1936.  I was able to find a sample photo for 45 of them.

I hadn't realized until doing this that the Dragons actually wore three different jersey types between 1974 and 1986.  While the design on the jersey is the same, the 1974-80 versions are button down, the 1981-83 versions are pullovers with a couple buttons at the top and the 1984-86 versions are pullovers with no buttons.

The only difference between the 1987-96 and the 1997-2003 "standard" uniforms appears to be the hat design.  Likewise the change in "standard" uniform in 1954 was the replacement of the "N" (for "Nagoya") on the hat to a "C" (for "Chunichi").

I'm pretty sure that the picture of Hoshino is from Spring Training 1969 before the Dragons unveiled their new uniforms.  Hoshino was taken in the fall 1968 draft and debuted for the Dragons the following year but the uniform shown on that card is the 1967-68 version (you can tell from the hat).
